START NOW#01 - Introduction to the course
Marco Vassallo introduces the course by explaining the power of emotions in music, through the use of major and minor chords and communication through sounds, without words. The first steps include accepting mistakes as part of the learning and creative process.
#02 - I don't like the geometry, but the piano one is great.
Marco talks about the anatomy of the piano and its black and white keys, explaining octaves and the importance of acoustic perception of notes, inviting exploration of sonorities.
#03 - As with everything, it takes TIME.
Focusing on hand coordination, Marco presents an exercise with a 60 bpm metronome, introducing rhythm and musical tempo. He emphasizes the importance of calmness, control and adaptation to the metronome.
#04 - Let's Get along in Love and Agreement.
Marco introduces us to chords, starting with the classic "C turn." He shows examples on how to play and tie them. He also begins to mention something about using the sustain pedal.
#05 - Get Ready Ar-Worse
Mark emphasizes the importance of the octave on which we play notes, especially in low chords, to avoid typical mistakes of confusion between adjacent notes. We broaden the spectrum of notes played by talking about arpeggios, with an eye always on speed of execution.
#06 - Quality of chords
Mark points out the difference between major and minor chords, transforming them with the use of thirds. He introduces the value of "sharps" and "flats" and gives practice with chords outside the white keys.
#07 - The Revolts
Marco emphasizes cohesion between chords in a progression and introduces revolts, inviting experimentation and practice.
#08 - Don't spread out, but also yes.
We continue to explore the use of revolutions, moving notes to the upper octave. Marco shows us how to create harmonic progressions with the left hand and the addition of notes with the right.
#09 - The chords
We discuss musical intervals and their recognition in song structure, using examples such as "Star Wars" and "Amazing Grace." Goal: to apply intervals in practice.
#10 - Ear Training
We continue to explore musical intervals, emphasizing active listening and their recognition in famous pieces of music.

MARCO VASSALLO
Marco Vassallo is a young multi-instrumentalist from Genoa. He approaches the world of music from early childhood, thanks to the passion passed on to him by his father.
He began his education around the age of 20 months, playing fingerstyle/fingerpicking guitar exclusively for a decade; at the age of 11 he entered the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory of Genoa, which he attended for a time.
At the same time, two new interests blossomed: that of rock music and that of the keyboard world. These two paths are pursued with time and daily practice; in particular, the study of electric guitar continues and is perfected with studies at the Lizard Academies in Turin, under the aegis of Tony de Gruttola.
As for the approach on keyboards, however, it is the result of prior knowledge of music, which has always been analyzed very critically, including-but not only-thanks to theabsolute ear, and, above all, to many hours of daily practice.
Not least of all, a great passion forinformation technology made the keyboardist's "nerdy" world of automations and MIDI one of his main fields of knowledge.
One of the experiences that marked Marco the most is undoubtedly his encounter with the reality of Musicoff Young; within this project he was able to confront extremely heterogeneous dimensions, both musical and human, and derive great growth from it.
