An internationally renowned electric bassist, Alex was born and raised in Rome and moved to London where he earned a degree in Popular Music Performance from the University of West London.

Alex's debut album, Beyond, in the progressive-fusion genre, features first-rate artists such as Marco Minnemann on Drums (Aristocrats), keyboard wizard Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Eric Marienthal on sax (Chick Corea Elektric Band), pianist Jesus Molina and guitarist, composer and co-producer Roby Meola.

Alex gives masterclasses and clinics all over the world, invited by music institutes such as the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, BIMM and ICMP in London, to name a few. Alex gave his first masterclass at the Tech Music School in London while he was still a student.

As an author he published his unique method for guitar and bass SCALE COLOUR SYSTEM-an innovative system for internalizing and unlocking the vision of notes and scales on the fretboard-which has received high praise from both the press and world-renowned musicians. Sold in more than 40 countries around the world, it is translated into English, Spanish and Italian and is now distributed by Hal Leonard.

A supporter of the world's top musical instrument companies, Alex performs at international music fairs such as the NAMM Show, Musikmesse Frankfurt, Euro Bass Day and the London Bass Guitar Show.

He has also appeared in Bass Guitar Magazine, Bass Quarterly and De Bassist among others, and contributes lessons and articles to Bass Musician Magazine, No Treble and MusicOff.com.
